City Public Service/IBEW FCU began operating as a federal credit union on June 1, 1998. It is the result of merging two federal credit unions together for creating a single, stronger, and more viable credit union capable of competing effectively in today’s highly competitive financial services industry.  

For over sixty-years, Public Service Federal Credit Union and Local 500 IBEW Federal Credit Union served the employees of the City Public Service Board of San Antonio and their family members. City Public Service/IBEW FCU continues this tradition of providing all members a place to save and to borrow at competitive and affordable rates.  

To join the City Public Service/IBEW Federal Credit Union, you must either be an employee of the City Public Service Board, a member of the Local 500 Chapter of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, or a member of their immediate family.
